The Process: Sunset Island House
Captured just off the coastline of Antigua, Sunset Island House reflects a fleeting moment of stillness shaped by movement. Shot from a boat as it drifted further out to sea from St James's, the gentle motion softened the frame, allowing the warm evening light to settle into the water and sky with a quiet, atmospheric haze.

St James's
Antigua will always be an island I remember fondly. Having spent a considerable amount of time travelling around its coastline and through its local communities, I have come to know it through its changing light, beautiful seascapes and the people who bring the island to life. From watching the sun set over the Caribbean Sea to capturing everyday moments as people move through their own island life, these experiences have become an important part of my work as a travel photographer.

As a photographer, I am often drawn to these in between moments where composition is instinctive rather than controlled. The house, sitting low against the horizon, felt both isolated and grounded, offering a subtle narrative without distraction.

This fine art print is produced on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper, chosen for its ability to hold soft tonal transitions and natural depth. The result is a calm, understated piece that works effortlessly within considered interior spaces.
